Inter Detroit’s story starts in 2017, with Edwin and Omar dreaming up a club from scratch. They didn’t just gather a team—they created a movement. Early tryouts saw over 75 players fighting for a spot, and their very first match drew 200 fans, buzzing with hope. The fall league championship? An undefeated 11–0 run. That’s the kind of story that sets the tone for everything that follows.

Rising Through Challenges

COVID-19 put their UPSL dreams on pause, but Inter Detroit refused to let adversity win. They came back twice as strong, taking on pro academies and U20 teams, proving they belong on the big stage. The 2021 clash with Chivas U20 was electric—almost 5,000 fans in the stands, a moment that made history no matter the score. A 2–2 battle with Tigres U20, a last-minute stadium switch, and finally, a 1–0 victory over Michigan Stars—each moment a testament to resilience and heart.
